Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Crabenstein

After writing a class essay on why he loves the new public library, Kyle Keeley along with 12 other children are selected as winners to a contest. The prize being a one night lock down and the new and improved, high-tech public library. At the lock down each child must use their wits to make it out of the new library, for Mr. Lemoncello, a game lover, has made the book filled building into a game for the one night lock down. The children shall use clues to finally find the exit to this game, using only three help options: ” ask an expert”, “Librarian Consultation”, and ” extreme challenge “, ( if the player wins the extreme challenge, their prize will be wondrous.) Will the children find the way out of Mr. Lemoncello’s  library?

This was a great book! It made the reader play along with the characters in the story, trying to think ahead with the given clues and find the exit. I really enjoyed it, but thought the style of writing could of been a little better. I would give this book a 7.5 out of 10!
